I discovered Lizzie Prestt when browsing through the gift shop at Leeds City Art Gallery. She has designed many city-scape images from the UK (including Leeds and London) and I think they are really fresh, bold and make great souvenirs. The combination of the simply hand-drawn yet recognisable buildings and the brightly coloured backgrounds make her designs fun, contemporary and eye-catching. I bought a small print of Leeds (see below) .
Her prints have been put on everything from teatowels and cushions to mugs and saucers. She has also helped design Oasis window displays and featured in the magazine The Stylist. I have a feeling that we may be seeing more of this artists in the future…
